Applications for undergraduate courses may be made through UCAS

You can apply online for all our taught courses. The Research Application Form should be used for PhD and masters by research applications.

Make sure that you read the guidance notes before completing the form and attach all the supporting documents before you submit your application. We do not accept incomplete application forms.

Please note that we do not accept direct applications from Nigeria, Ghana or Pakistan. If you are interested in making an application and you are from one of these countries, please click here for more information.


Terms and Conditions of International Offers

Click here to view the Terms and Conditions you are agreeing to when you accept your offer to study at Glamorgan, after which a “Confirmation of Acceptance of Studies (CAS) Statement” will be issued and sent to you to use to apply for a UK Tier 4 General Student Visa.

Academic Entry Requirements

The University recognises a range of entry qualifications from around the world, details can be found on the country specific pages of the website.

Some courses have specific requirements; these are given on the individual course pages in our prospectuses or on the course specific page located on our website


English Language Entry Requirements

Proficiency in the English language is essential and the University recognises the following English
language qualifications:

  • GCSE pass in English at Grade C or above
  • The British Council’s International English Language Testing Service (IELTS) with an average overall
score of 6.0 for undergraduate study, and 6.5 for postgraduate study
  • TOEFL minimum score for undergraduate of 550 paper based, 213 CBT or 79-80 IBT / for Postgraduate a minimum score of 575 paper based, 233 CBT or 90-91 IBT
  • UCLES/ Cambridge CAE or computer-based 232

Don’t worry if you do not meet these requirements as we offer a range of English Language Courses to prepare you for academic studies.


Deferrals

It is only possible to defer your place once without having to submit a new application to the university. A new application must be submitted by students who are deferring for the 2nd or 3rd time.


Academic Technology Approval Scheme

If you are studying or planning to study at the University of Glamorgan on one of the Foreign and Commonwealth Office listed courses you will need to obtain an ATAS certificate before applying for your visa. Please check our ATAS information to check whether this applies to you.
