Most courses start in September of each year; however we do have foundation courses and a selected number of Masters courses starting in January and February, please contact our representatives in Bahrain for more information.

Glamorgan also delivers its Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Bahrain. Students are taught every six weeks by full-time Business School staff who fly out to Bahrain. To date, over 400 students have graduated for this award which is approved by the Ministry of Education in Bahrain. For further information, please contact EMIC (details below).

Entry Requirements - Foundation

• Students who have a 60% pass in their Tawjahiya (Secondary School Leaving Certificate) can apply for the International Foundation Programme; you must also have an IELTS score of 5.0 or equivalent
• Students who have a 60% pass in their Tawjahiya (Secondary School Leaving Certificate) can apply for a Foundation Year Programme; you must also have an IELTS score of 6.0 or above

Entry Requirements - Undergraduate

English Qualifications

Proficiency in English is essential for Undergraduate study. The University of Glamorgan recognises the following English language qualifications:

• GCSE English at grade C
• IELTS 6.0
• TOEFL Paper based 550
• TOEFL iBT 79-80

Don’t worry if you do not meet these requirements as we offer a range of English Language Courses to prepare you for academic studies.

Academic Qualifications

• Students who have a 2 year Diploma from a recognised institution can be accepted onto the first year of a degree programme
• A-Levels and the International Baccalaureate are also accepted; please refer to our website or prospectus for entry requirements for particular courses

Undergraduate Advanced Entry/FCert HE International Postgraduate Preparation Course

• Students with a Higher National Diploma (HND) or a Higher Diploma and an IELTS score of 6.0 or higher can be considered for advanced entry on to a relevant undergraduate degree programme
• Students with a Higher National Diploma (HND) or a Higher Diploma and an IELTS score of 5.0 or 5.5 can be considered for the International Postgraduate Preparation Course

Entry Requirements - Postgraduate

English Qualifications

• TOEFL Paper Based 575
• TOEFL iBT 90-91

Academic Qualifications

Postgraduate entry for those who have one of the following:

• 4 year degree with a 2nd class and above (50% or a GPA of 2 or above on the scale of 4, 4 being the highest)
• For admission on to an LLM, you will need a 4 year LLB degree with a 2nd class or above
• 3 year Honours degree with a 1st Class or 2nd Class can get direct entry onto a Masters course if they have additional work experience
• Masters degree
• For entry on to the MBA, students should have one of the above and at least 2 years relevant work experience.
