Entry Requirements - Foundation

  • International Foundation Programme entry for those who have passed year – 12 BGCSE with the equivalent of 5 grade D’s or above and have a D grade or lower in English and those who have a C grade or better can gain direct Foundation Year Programme entry

Entry Requirements - Undergraduate

English Qualifications

Proficiency in English is essential for Undergraduate study. The University of Glamorgan recognises the following English language qualifications:

  • BGCSE with grade C or above
  • GCSE/O-Level English grade C or above
  • IELTS 6.0 or above
  • TOEFL iBT 79-80 or above

Academic Qualification

  • Applicants who have followed the A-Level curriculum the normal UCAS tariff will be applied
  • Applicants who have followed the IB Diploma curriculum the normal UCAS tariff will be applied
  • Applicants who have a 3 year diploma equivalent to a HND should be considered for 2nd or 3rd year entry
  • A number of government sponsored applicants are required to have completed one or two years in Botswana and these applicants will be given 1st or 2nd year entry

Entry Requirements - Postgraduate

English Qualifications

Proficiency in English is essential for Postgraduate study. The University of Glamorgan recognises the following English language qualifications:

  • BGCSE with grade C or above
  • GCSE/O-Level English grade C or above
  • IELTS 6.5 or above
  • TOEFL iBT 90-91 or above

Academic Qualification

  • Applicants with the equivalent to a Second Class Lower degree will be considered for masters programme entry
  • Applicants with a masters degree will be considered for masters programme entry
  • MBA – For entry to MBA applicants should have one of the above and at least 2 years relevant work experience, preferably after graduation and student should be aged at least 23
