Entry Requirements - Foundation
- Holders of the National Senior High School Certificate, Chinese University Entrance Examination or Matriculation Examination will be considered for the International Foundation Programme with IELTS 5.0 or equivalent or for the Foundation Year Programme with an IELTS 6.0 or equivalent
Entry Requirements - Undergraduate
English Qualifications
Proficiency in English is essential for Undergraduate study. The University of Glamorgan recognises the following English language qualifications:
- GCSE English at grade C
- IELTS 6.0 (with minimum 5.5 in each band)
- TOEFL iBT 80
Don’t worry if you do not meet these requirements as we offer a range of English Language Courses to prepare you for academic studies.
Academic Qualifications
- Holders of the National Senior High School Certificate, Chinese University Entrance Examination or Matriculation Examination who already have IELTS 6.0 wishing to study business will be considered for direct admission to first degree business programmes.
- Holders of the International Baccalaureate Diploma with a minimum of 24 points or ‘A’ levels obtained in China will be considered for direct admission to first degree programmes. Please refer to www.glam.ac.uk/courses for detailed entry requirements. Students who do not meet the entry requirement will be considered for a Foundation year.
- Applicants who have successfully completed the first year of a Bachelor degree in China will be considered for direct admission to first degree programmes.
- Holders of three-year college diplomas/Higher National Diplomas in business will be considered for BA (Hons) Business Studies, a one year top-up course. Please note a good IELTS score is required (6.0 minimum).
Entry Requirements - Postgraduate
English Qualifications
Proficiency in English is essential for Postgraduate study. The University of Glamorgan recognises the following English language qualifications:
- GCSE English at grade C
- IELTS 6.5 (with minimum 5.5 in each band)
- TOEFL iBT 88
Don’t worry if you do not meet these requirements as we offer a range of English Language Courses to prepare you for academic studies.
Academic Qualifications
- Holders of a good Honours Bachelor degree will be considered for postgraduate Masters degree courses.
- Applicants with a Masters degree will be considered for entry to Ph.D. studies.
