Entry Requirements - Foundation
Five passes at grade C or Credit at Senior School Certificate (including Maths and English) and IELTS 6.0 or equivalent will be considered for a Foundation Programme . Applicants with an IELTS 5.0 can be considered for the International Foundation Programme.
Entry Requirements - Undergraduate
English Qualifications
Proficiency in English is essential for Undergraduate study. The University of South Wales recognises the following English language qualifications:
GCSE English at grade C
Senior School Certificate ‘C’ or Credit pass grade in English Language
IELTS 6.0 (with a minimum 5.5 in each band)
TOEFL iBT 80
Academic Qualifications
We recognise the following examining boards including WAEC and SSCE.
Students who have the Senior School Certificate with six A grades can be considered for direct undergraduate degree entry.
Students with a National Diploma will be considered for undergraduate degree programmes.
Students with a Higher National Diploma or Polytechnic diplomas can be considered for advanced entry onto certain undergraduate degree programmes.
Students with ‘A’ levels will be considered for direct admission to undergraduate degree programmes. Please refer to www.glam.ac.uk/courses for detailed entry requirements. Students who do not meet the entry requirement will be considered for a Foundation Year.

Academic Qualifications
Students with an undergraduate degree with second class or better will be considered for direct entry onto a postgraduate programme.
Applicants with a Masters degree will be considered for entry to Ph.D. studies.
