Entry Requirements - Undergraduate
English Qualifications
Proficiency in English is essential for Undergraduate study. The University of Glamorgan recognises the following English language qualifications:
- GCSE English at grade C
- IELTS 6.0 (with minimum 5.5 in each band)
- TOEFL iBT 80
Don’t worry if you do not meet these requirements as we offer a range of English Language Courses to prepare you for academic studies.
Academic Qualifications
- High school/secondary school students who achieve good grades will be considered for a foundation year.
Entry Requirements - Postgraduate
English Qualifications
Proficiency in English is essential for Postgraduate study. The University of Glamorgan recognises the following English language qualifications:
- GCSE English at grade C
- IELTS 6.5 (with minimum 5.5 in each band)
- TOEFL iBT 88
Don’t worry if you do not meet these requirements as we offer a range of English Language Courses to prepare you for academic studies.
Academic Qualifications
- Holders of a good Bachelor degree with honours will be considered for postgraduate study. Holders of a Bachelor degree with honours and IELTS 5.0 will be considered for our International Postgraduate Preparation Programme (IPG), a one-year Pre-Masters course which leads directly to a wide range of Masters degrees.
- Applicants with a Masters degree will be considered for entry to Ph.D. studies.
