Entry Requirements - Foundation

Students who have passed the Higher Secondary Certificate in year 12 with a grade of 45%-60% and who have an English language ability equivalent to IELTS 5 can be considered for entry on to the International Foundation Programme.
Students who have passed the Higher Secondary Certificate in year 12 with a grade of 45%-60% and who have an English language ability equivalent to IELTS 6 can be considered for entry on to the Foundation Year Programme.

English Qualifications

Proficiency in English is essential for Undergraduate study. The University of Glamorgan recognises the following English language qualifications:

GCSE English at grade C
IELTS 6.0
TOEFL iBT 80

Don’t worry if you do not meet these requirements as we offer a range of English Language Courses to prepare you for academic studies.

Academic Qualifications

Students who have passed the Higher Secondary Certificate in year 12 with a grade of 60% or above can be considered for direct entry onto an Undergraduate Degree.
Students who have studied 2 years of a Bachelor Degree in Nepal may be accepted on to year 2 of an Undergraduate Degree programme provided they have studied a relevant course.

English Qualifications

Proficiency in English is essential for Postgraduate study. The University of Glamorgan recognises the following English language qualifications:

GCSE English at Grade C
IELTS 6.5
TOEFL iBT 88

Academic Qualification

A first division Bachelors degree from a recognised university.
Applicants with a Masters degree will be considered for entry to Ph.D. studies

Visits to your Country

Katy Davies, International Officer, will be visiting Nepal on Thursday 17th November. She will be meeting with prospective students who wish to apply for our February and September 2012 intake. Katy will be interviewing students and making spot offers.
