Entry Requirements - Undergraduate
English qualifications
Proficiency in English is essential for Undergraduate study. Where a student has completed English Language as part of their Singapore/Cambridge GCE O Level studies, a minimum of Grade C is required. The University of Glamorgan also recognises the following English language qualifications:
- GCSE English at grade C
- IELTS 6.0
- TOEFL (Paper based) 550
- TOEFL iBT 79-80
Don’t worry if you do not meet these requirements as we offer a range of English Language Courses to prepare you for academic studies.
Academic Qualifications
- Holders of the Singapore/Cambridge GCE A Level will be considered against the standard UCAS tariff for each individual course for direct admission to first degree programmes.
- Holders of the International Baccalaureate Diploma with a minimum of 24 points or ‘A’ levels obtained in China will be considered for direct admission to first degree programmes. Please refer to www.glam.ac.uk/courses for detailed entry requirements. Students who do not meet the entry requirement will be considered for a Foundation year.
- Holders of Polytechnic Advanced Diplomas/Higher National Diplomas will be considered for advanced entry into Bachelors degree programmes on an individual basis.
- Holders of Advanced Diplomas/Higher National Diplomas in a business-related subject will be considered for our BA (Hons) Management and Business, a one year top-up course.
Entry Requirements - Postgraduate
English Qualifications

Academic Qualifications
- Holders of Advanced Diplomas/Higher National Diplomas and IELTS 5.0 will be considered for our International Postgraduate Preparation Programme (IPG), a one-year Pre-Masters course which leads directly to a wide range of Masters degrees.
- Holders of a good Bachelor degree from a public University will be considered for postgraduate Masters degree courses.
- Applicants with a Masters degree will be considered for entry to Ph.D. studies.
Other Information
Visits to Singapore
Mr Malcolm Taylor, Head of International Recruitment, will be visiting Singapore in March 2012 to attend an exhibition held at the Suntec Convention Centre on 17th March 2012.
Malcolm will be attending the exhibition in association with AS EduCentre. The exhibition takes place on 17th March and is located at Level 3, MR314 and is open from 3pm to 7pm.
Malcolm will also be visiting the AS EduCentre office on 21st March from 4.30 to 5.30pm to conduct interviews with applicants on an individual basis.
